Did you know that in today’s modern high-tech world, our bodies can accumulate unhelpful static electricity and environmental charges? Did you know that this excess accumulation could influence our well-being?
Equigrounding© is a practice developed by Marianne Disipio, which involves attempting to physically absorb the electrical frequencies of the Earth through direct tactile (skin) contact with horses. It is a semi-directed centering method where one attempts to find calm and clarity through passive interactions with horses. Horses help by inviting us to self-regulate with them through breath work so we can be still enough to attempt to enter a meditative and contemplative state, and connect with our intuition. Marianne’s horses also have a gift for scanning our physical bodies and doing readjustments through energy work, just like Reiki professionals!
Equigrounding© is inspired from equine-assisted healing practices, and rooted in principles of Earthing TM. It is based on the science that the Earth is a source of negative electrons needed in today’s lifestyle to promote our well-being.
“Absorbing negative ions through the skin is believed to be helpful in equalizing energy levels, synchronizing hormonal cycles, and establishing proper physiological rhythms”. (Earthing website)
It is hypothesized that our equine friends can assist us in synchronizing our bodies with the natural frequencies of the Earth, by serving as conduits. Un-shoed horses that live outside are naturally in electrical harmony, as their hooves are in constant direct contact with the Earth. Furthermore, as indicated in scientific literature, intimate interactions with horses involving touch, especially if relationship-based, provide the additional benefit of supporting emotional wellness, making this practice a powerful way to literally “ground” yourself physiologically and emotionally.
Equigrounding© is also an efficient way to introduce self-regulation for animal and nature lovers, so they can start practicing how to manage stress, emotions, and unhelpful thoughts in a very unique way!
SCHEDULE: these sessions are offered during the summer months, however, there might be some offerings throughout the fall, and early winter. Sign-up for Marianne’s newsletter on the homepage to stay in the loop!

The Backyard Yogini Yoga Classes
This yoga helps you find your horsePOWER and has a magical view!
Come and enjoy outdoor yoga with the horses between May and September, and classes in Marianne’s onsite studio The Little Red Barn of Joy during the cooler months !
Marianne offers classes for the general population, for children with special needs, as well as classes for moms that help support you in their own wellness journey.
In the warmer months, classes are done outside in a charming forested area here at the 4 Horse Hacienda. The best part is that we have a lovely view of the horses grazing peacefully in the distance as we practice. (And our butts will always look small compared to theirs). How inspirational!
In the rainy and cooler months, Marianne will offer classes in her onsite studio.
Marianne’s sessions will be structured to include breathing techniques, physical movement, as well as meditation. Topics and themes will be relevant and emotionally supportive for people striving to live their best life!
Come experience it for yourself! Every month is a little different!
