Horse Fun for All
There’s something for kids, teens, and adults alike!
This season, beat the cover blahs and book some time with the horses! Wether you want your kids to keep busy, or would like to get to know these magnificent creatures yourself, we can plan something that suits your needs! This program is specifically left open to co-create the perfect horsey situation for you!
All activities are done on the ground (these are not horseback riding lessons). In this program, you can learn the basics of horse care, horse communication, natural horsemanship (groundwork), liberty work (fun games where horse is not tied-up), quiet time spent relaxing with the horses, including stress management techniques. For children/teens, there is the possibility of led pony rides. Jus let Marianne know what you would like, and together, you can plan your sessions!
Children/teens: If you would like all your siblings to participate together, you can definitely book some group sessions! Alternatively, if you would like to book some time with your children and their friends (max of 2), we can also do that! Please note that children must be 8 years old to be without a parent/caregiver present.
Adults: Adults are welcome to come on their own, as a couple, or even a small group of friends.
Cost: $89 for 4 week session of 1 hour per session. One individual session is $30.
Masks may be required when unable to be 6 feet apart. Please come prepared.
Exhale. Release. Recharge.
EQUINISITY is the practice of connecting with the self through mindful and soulful experiences with horses on the ground. It is a self-directed centering method where one attempts to find calm and clarity through passive interactions with horses. Horses help by inviting us to self-regulate with them so we can be still enough to attempt to enter a meditative state. It is an exceptionally powerful way to learn how to manage stress, emotions, and unhelpful thoughts.
For those of you who know something about energy work, Equinisity sessions are believed to offer a certain healing component to the practice as it is thought that horses are often called upon to help clear our energy centres (chakras) through their powerful ability to detect imbalances and emit grounding vibrations from the Earth.
Sessions are designed to help you look inward and review what you might be currently living, followed by suggestions from your facilitator on how to best go about utilizing your session. Sessions are often done in silence and stillness with a horse in close intimate contact, however, there are also opportunities for semi-structured activities depending on your goals. This will all be discussed with you prior to your session over the intake phone call.
Come experience it for yourself! If nothing else, it’s a nice way to get a break and soak up some sunshine in the company of the most beautiful animal in the world!

Are you struggling to partner-up your child with special needs with compatible friends? Are you trying to expand your child’s social network? Do you find yourself drained by being the main person who initiates and organizes the get-togethers, with less reciprocity from other parents? Then join the friends round-up for children with special needs! It’s free!
This is not an equine-related service. Marianne is simply trying to facilitate friendships for our children in the Calgary area! All ages, genders, and diagnoses/profiles welcome!
Marianne is offering to start a list of children with special needs looking for friends. She will collect all the profiles and try to match children and hook-up parents when a potential match is made. Parents will be responsible for following through on their own end.
If you are interested, email Marianne directly at firstname.lastname@example.org. You will then be sent the terms of agreement for participating, and a questionnaire to fill out and email back to Marianne.
